This week I started writing my character profile which then I will post on this blog when I have finished them. The character profile explains things about the character in specific detail for example their age, their name, where they work, their relatives, their problems/ what they are struggling with, what has happened in their life before the screenplay, past experiences, their relationships with different people.
I have started to work on my script.

I have used scene headings to explain the location and whether its inside or outside and whether its day, noon or night. On this page you can see that I have two scene headings showing that the location of the scene has changed.
After the first scene heading. Below it, it shows an action ‘ALEX walks into DAVID’S house, forcefully closing the door behind her without making it bang.’ This is to show the mood she is in but also what she is doing and how she’s doing it. The actions helps the actor know what they are doing in that scene.
The first bit of dialogue I have is from the character David who is Alex’s Dad. To show this I have used ‘character’ and wrote his name down and in brackets I have shown that he is the dad. Following on from the character option it automatically goes to the ‘dialogue’ when you press ‘enter’ , this allows me to write what that character it saying.
